Birch Blaze Photography is a satellite of Birch Blaze Studios, our graphic design and photography ‘studio’ which is happily nestled somewhere between the White Mountains and Lakes Region (have you heard of Lake Winnipesaukee? Mount Washington?) of New Hampshire. We’re a bit off the beaten path, but thanks to the World Wide Web soundly beating its own path to our door, our design work has found its way all over the world, on a pretty regular basis.

Photography, though, was one of the many things that we discovered we had in common when we met in late summer 2004. It’s a passion that has grown with our relationship. To us photography is an extremely satisfying creative expression, but beyond that, we find it so incredible how many ways photographs can impact human lives. They can bring about change for the better, evoke wonderful feelings and emotions, make us stop and think, and preserve the highlights of life. Of course, not every photograph can aspire to such noble heights, but even so, our goal with each moment we capture is this: To interpret that moment artistically while preserving the character and personality that lives on beyond that frozen sliver of time. That’s why it’s important to us to connect and get to know the people we photograph and photograph for. When we do, it helps us make that sub-conscious, split-second decision to release that shutter and catch that subtle revelation of soul. When that soul feels a connection with us, well that just gives us SO many more of those split-seconds to work with! That’s when the fun begins…
